In the Diocese of Erie the brothers of Jesus Caritas gathered for a Contemplative Prayer Day on July 7, 2009. The Day was organized by John Fischer and Max Karg presented it. The men took two 20-minute contemplative prayer times and then viewed three parts of a conference with Fr. Thomas Keating (delightful). After this time they had lunch, shared about our fraternities, and talked about what we could do next year. The day was spent at St Mark Catholic Center (Diocesan center) from 10-3:30 pm. Paul Schill made lunch (a member of John Fischer's fraternity).
Those present were John Jacquel, John Fischer, Ray Hahn*, Tim Balliett*, Ted Carter, Max Karg, Johnathan Schmolt*, Dick Sullivan, Mark O’Hern*, Andy Karg, Glenn Whitman, Scott Detisch*, Chuck Schmitt, Monty Sayers , Paul Schill, Mark Nowak, Brian Vossler*, Rick Tomasone, Dan Arnold , Rich Toohey , Vince Cieslewicz*, Jerry Koos, Bill O’Brien, and Dan Prez*.
Reserved, but could not be present were Tom Suppa (cancelled due to funerals), James Campbell (moving to Coudersport), and Tom Brown.
Those that could not attend were Greg Passauer, Mark Mastrian, Bill Barron*, and John Swoger.
